All Over Again

It’s been a year unlike any past: a year of learning and growing, of love and loss, of harsh realizations and the realization of dreams. I’ve been lost in old places and at home in new ones, and now it’s time to start anew. Here’s to yet another ending, but, more importantly, to a fresh start: a new year, and [hopefully] many more pictures than ever before.

Student Strike

This afternoon I experienced one of the most incredible events of my life thus far: the city-wide student strike that occurred in conjunction with Occupy Wall Street’s “day of action”. Being surrounded by thousands of students also worried about the astronomical cost of education, being supported and encouraged by even the drivers stuck in the gridlocks we created marching down the city streets, and chanting  along with other peaceful protestors were some of the most empowering and eye-opening experiences of my life.

Now to hope that our voices were heard.
